Payment procedure

The payment process starts after you have decided to book a certain yacht.

After the yacht charter reservation has been confirmed, which  is valid only if provided in writting, the payment is to be made  as follows:

  • 50% of the total charter fee should be settled upon the reservation.
  • The rest of the charter fee 50% should be paid at least 45 days prior to boat embarkation.
  • If the Yacht is booked within 60 days before boat delivery (charter period) the total charter fee should be paid.

Taking the boat into possession is effective once the payment in full has been completed.

Bank transfer

The preferred payment method is directly through bank transfer. It is very quick and completely safe

In order to confirm the reservation of the boat, the client is obliged to pay 50% of the total charter price (1st instalment). The remaining amount (2nd instalment) has to be settled at least 45 days before the beginning of the charter.

Credit cards

If you decide for a credit card payment, please inform us, and we will send you a secure payment link, where you will be able to write down the number of your 'Proforma Invoice' and the amount you need to pay. You will be forwarded to a secure payment gateway where you will execute the payment.

We provide total security when paying with credit card. Credit card payments are made secure by our partner, WS Pay and by credit card transaction protocols.


Cancellation policy

In case the client decides to cancel the booked boat, he has to do it in writing.

The date when Barto d.o.o. has received the written cancellation notification constitutes a basis for settling up cancellation fees. It is done in the following way:

  • For cancellation up to 45 days before the beginning of the charter, the amount of the 1st instalment (which the client paid) is charged.
  • 100% of the charter price is charged for cancellation within the last 45 days before the beginning of the charter.

In case the client who cancelled the booked boat manages to find a replacement (only if previously agreed with the lessor), that person takes over his/her reservation as well as his/her rights and obligations. In that case the client is charged only for the costs that were the result of a replacement.

Money refund is done immediately upon the determining the exact amount that should be refunded to the client. The payment is done only through the bank transfer on client's account. The costs of money transfer abroad are covered by the client.

What is included in the charter fee?

Charter fee includes accommodation on a sailing boat, catamaran or motor yacht (here and after “the Yacht”) during the charter period. Furthermore, charter fee include dinghy, bedlinening, GPS, autopilot, and technically adequate usage of the Yacht and its equipment in working order.

Additional costs

Additional costs to be paid in the marina upon your arrival may vary depending on the extra services that you have taken (skipper, hostess, cook, spinnaker, outboard engine, towels, WiFi etc.).

One of the additional costs you will definitely have to pay is the tourist tax, amounting to € 1,40 per person per day. You will also have to leave a security deposit for the boat, in amount depending on each boat in particular. The deposit can be given in cash or as a credit card slip. Other additional costs include transit log, final cleaning, food and beverage for the Client, food and beverage for the skipper and hostess, fuel and mooring fees in your cruise destinations.

Please note that all the services in Croatia are paid in Euro.  In restaurants, shops and supermarkets you can use credit cards as well, but not everywhere on the islands. However, there are ATM machines in some places.

Data protection

Barto d.o.o. will use your personal data for the purpose of administration, statistical analysis, assessment and analysis, marketing, host mailing, customer services, customer profiling, analyzing your purchasing preferences, and improving services. Barto d.o.o. may disclose your information to its service providers and agents for these purposes. You have a right to request a copy of the personal data Barto d.o.o. holds about you, for which Barto d.o.o. may charge a small fee, and to correct any inaccuracies in your information.

Barto d.o.o. maintains a full privacy policy which may be viewed on website. By booking through Barto d.o.o. you agree to the terms of that privacy policy.
